The BIG DIG is now complete and we are ready to start pouring concrete for the foundations and lower walls of our New Education Building.  Once the foundations and walls are poured we will start with the Structural Steel and then the Metal Building will be assembled.  Please continue to pray for this project and pray that God continues to bless us with strong financial gifts!

January, 2008
Construction on the New Education Building  is moving along at Winter pace.  Our contractor, Tipton Construction, was able to get the footings poured on a  third of the main building along with the connecting bulkheads that tie to the upper slab.  They will continue to progress as weather allows. Dave Harris has done an excellent job of maintaining our silt fence and the site and Stephen Jackson has been a great help with our electrical drawings.  We need to get a group of men together in the next couple of weeks and plant rye grass in the drain field and other areas to help stabilize.  After the footings and walls are poured we will move on to the structural steel and the floor system, followed by the assembly of the metal for the building.  The schedule will really depend on the weather for the next several weeks.  Let's not forget...we did PRAY for RAIN!

February, 2008
If you have looked behind the Worship Center, you have noticed some tall concrete walls going up!  These are the walls for the lower level of the New Education Building.  Pouring the concrete for these walls should be completed by the end of February.  The next phase is to put in the structural steel for the floor system and pour the floor.  Once that phase is complete the steel frame for the building will be erected and then the sides and roof will go on.  The metal building is scheduled to be delivered toward the end of March.  After we have the roof and sides on the building the inside work can proceed without worrying about the weather.  We are pleased with the progress to this point and are excited about seeing the walls start to go up!

March, 2008
The month of April will be an exciting month for our New Education Building!  The steel is in place for the main floor and ready for the concrete to be poured.  Once the main floor is poured, the plumbing will be stubbed up in the lower floor and that floor will be poured as well.  Next will come the back filling around the walls as we prepare the soil under the activity area to receive concrete.  As the concrete work comes to completion, it will be time to start up with the steel support system for the new building!  This will be exciting to see as the building starts to take shape...above ground!  Once the steel support structure is in place, the outer walls and roof will be put in place.  Keep praying for the progress of the building.  Also pray that God will continue to provide the funds necessary to pay for each months work as we go.  So far we have not had to use any of the construction loan!  Pray that God will provide you the ability to contribute to this exciting project!

May, 2008
The New Education Building is taking shape!  Walls are up, roof is on, sides are going on, insulation going in...Exciting Times!  We can finally see what the building is going to look like.  In just a couple of weeks the building will be completely dried in and the workers will move inside.  From here on the weather should not be a factor in completing the building.  Interior walls will start to appear along with electrical wires and plumbing pipes.  This is where the detail work starts.  It will still take several months to complete the building, but we are making good progress!  Our giving over the summer months will be very important!  So far we have been able to pay for everything with cash from our giving.  We have some big bills coming in the next few months and we are praying that God will provide our congregation with the resources to cover those expenses through giving as well!  It is going to be an exciting summer as we watch the interior of the building take shape.  Please continue to pray that God will protect the workers and continue to bless our project!
